This stitch owes its name to simulate the traces of a rooster. This point is used to make borders, join different materials such a woven fabric to lace or to add frills. Diagonal stitches of a uniform length, form an angle between each two and begin and end with a short horizontal stitch, all by hand.

PLEATS

The pleats or pin tucks or mini pin tucks are widely used in children’s wear. They may have different sizes and occur both vertically and horizontally. They are made by folding the fabric and sewing the folds by hand with very fine stitches.

RUFFLED OR FRILLED LACE TRIM

Made with the same technique used by our grandmothers, starch and hot tongs to form the wavy appearance and a lot of patience for a spectacular result.
